Matt Hunt

I have been passionate about capturing images and telling stories through moving images since the age of eight, when I first acquired a Polaroid camera. Since 1989, I have pursued a freelance camera department career within film and television production both here in New Zealand and internationally. Since 1998, I have worked exclusively with High Definition cameras, after six years of Standard Definition assisting. As camera technology advances in many directions I have extended my knowledge and skills continually – my aim is to learn and experience something new on every shoot. I simply enjoy shooting and lining up shots.

30 years on, I am always listening and watching on set. I am a very
competent 1st AC and Camera Operator.
