Ian Printy

After gaining a Diploma in Screen Production at South Seas film School in Auckland I gained some freelance work as a boom op, before I started a contract with Television New Zealand as a Studio Assist. There I operated the Jimmy Jib camera for live broadcast shows such as 'Breakfast' and 'One News'. Whilst there I gained experience with lighting and to some extent audio. Unfortunately Covid brought this to an end. Since then I have managed to gain some freelance work in TVC's as a grip assist and lately lighting assist with some fairly regular work on South Pacific Pictures daily soap Shortland Street.
