Elie Kayrouz is a cinematographer and filmmaker born in Montreal, Canada. He lives in Auckland, New Zealand and is a screen production graduate of South Seas Film School with a
focus on camera, lighting, and audio. He first studied fashion design in Canada, where his interest in clothing and visual language led him to shoot photography and music videos with
local artists. He loves all aspects of realizing a film with a particular focus on how camera and lighting choices shape story and emotion. He believes that the picture and the sound can induce life-changing experiences. If you foster sincerity, valuable relationships and instinct, he has faith that this will produce magic. Elie wants to continue developing his language and skills by breaking into the film industry and working on professional sets. His freelance experience and formal training inform a creative, detailed and collaborative approach on set.
