Brant Fraser is a Production Designer, from Auckland, New Zealand. He has worked internationally on features, television series and high-end commercials.
He joined the Industry in the late 90's, and has worked across many departments with time in Production, Camera, AD and Locations before finding his home in the Art Department.
Over the past 15 years he has built up an impressive commercials reel, working with some of the leading directors and production companies in New Zealand, Australia and Europe.
This has seen him working throughout the region and internationally, with Directors Christopher Riggert, Mark Albiston, Taika Waititi, Sebastian Strasser, Sam Hibbard, Alex Roberts, Nathan Price and many more.
He has Designed four features, including the critically acclaimed ‘Fantail’, and was nominated for Best Production Design at the 2014 NZ Film and TV Awards for the low budget Feature ‘The Last Saint’. In 2017 Brant worked with visionary Indian Director Pan Nalin on the 2017 feature, ‘Beyond the Known World’, shot in the Himalaya's and starring David Wenham, Chelsea Preston Crayford and Emmanuelle Béart.
In 2018 he designed ‘The Breaker Upperers’ produced by Taika Waititi's Piki Films, which premiered at SXSW and was chosen to open the Sydney International Film Festival.
Brant is also a keen surfer and traveler, which has seen him spending the last 5 years living between Sri Lanka and Bali with his young family. Returning to NZ in 2024.
